Remembering Jerome Coleman Jr.
Our beloved friend and brother Jerome "Jerry" Coleman Jr. passed away early Monday morning Dec. 19th, 2011. He was found dead after passing away in his sleep according to his Mother.
He had a routine procedure to remove his wisdom teeth on Friday Dec. 16th, and complained of some discomfort, but everything seemed fine when he went to bed. He died sometime between then and Monday morning when he was found unresponsive.
Jerome was a freshman at KSU, and was beginning to get more and more involved with The Journey, and was very active in a Men's Journey Group. He was a stand-out athlete, passionate about dunking and his friends.
He was a graduate of Central Gwinnett where he played on the drumline, and was a key player on Central's 2010-2011 Basketball Team, averaging 10.3 points and 6 rebounds per game.
Jerome was a man after God's heart, and he'll be missed greatly.
Friends are invited to attend the Visitation/Wake on Thursday, Dec 22nd from 5:00-9:00PM, and/or the Funeral on Friday, Dec 23rd at 12:00PM, as well as a special memorial service hosted by The Journey on Monday Jan. 9th at 8:00PM.

I am a frind of Nancy Childers. She emailed me of the passing of Jerome. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband when we were involved in a car accident 2 years ago, and know the shock that can accompany a sudden loss, especially one so young and full of promise. I pray that the God of comfort will abundantly pour out His comfort on you all.
